Paul Reed Smith  Hollowbody

A "Dentist's and Accountant's" guitar.  Its  a fair cop.  But, very loud, light and works as an electric or a semi-acoustic or both at the same time, so very versatile.  Powerful humbuckers dude!

I'm not very keen on acoustics, but this is a cheap and pretty good guitar with a small, slim neck, so should play it more often than I do

A recent purchase, not expensive, but great.  Really loud twin humbucker electric. Nice low action.  It has a thin body so keeps the cost and weight down.  Good to play if you are elderly and have a bad back.  Just saying....

Another recent purchase, traded in for the too heavy Les Paul.  Amazing range of tones from the Dragon pickups, slightly wider neck than my usual choice, but it works for me.  Beautiful grey matched top.

Now an obscure Strat.  1998 with three Lace pickups.  Beautiful action and super reliable tuning because of roller nut and lockable machine heads.  A bit weedy on the treble.  I should get that fixed.

Gibson Les Paul 1960 (deceased)

Departed these shores.  If I had played it as much as I had looked at it, it could have stayed, but what a great guitar. The scratchguard had faded to a dark cream and the nickel hardware had gone nice and dull.   Super loud and just like in Spinal Tap ridiculously resonant, although you did have to pluck it first.  Only problem: its solid mahogany body weighed in at 3kg so it was mighty and hurt the shoulders after 15 mins or so. Best played sitting down.
